Target share is the whole game
Target share >25% is the single strongest predictor of dynasty WR value. Even average per-target efficiency at that volume produces top-24 fantasy seasons. Prioritize receivers with proven target monopolies over higher-drafted rookies who share targets in crowded rooms.
Route participation and slot vs boundary
Route participation above 90% is elite. Slot receivers age slightly better than boundary receivers because their production relies less on athleticism. Weight both when comparing similarly ranked WRs.
Building a WR-first dynasty core
A common championship blueprint stacks three top-15 WRs plus one elite QB in Superflex. WRs give you the ability to trade from strength every year without punting your window.
FAQ
Why are WRs so valuable in dynasty?
WR fantasy production is the most stable and longest-lasting in football. Alpha receivers routinely produce WR1 seasons from age 24 through 30, giving them the longest usable dynasty window.
How much does QB play affect a WR's dynasty value?
A great QB can add 15–20% to a WR's value; a bad QB situation can subtract 10–15%. Weight elite QB rooms accordingly.
When should I sell an aging WR?
Most WRs hold value through age 28–29. The market starts discounting at 30 and prices in decline sharply at 31+. Sell one year early if your window has already closed.
